This month Ambrose Sales Manager, Megan Kelly is running the Los Angeles Marathon to help raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This donation will help LLS to continue to make a difference in the quality of life of those battling with leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
"Finishing the LA Marathon will be a huge personal accomplishment, something I never thought I'd be able to do, but participating with Team In Training, raising money to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and making a difference in the fight against blood cancer has been an even greater inspiration." Megan says.
Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. An LLS-funded researcher developed Gleevac, a pill for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Now, 95 percent of newly diagnosed, chronic-phase CML patients survive more than five years with a good quality if life. LLS also offers support groups, financial aid, co-pay assistance, information and advocacy programs for patients and their families.
