The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps is a nonprofit umbrella organization that serves existing Hole in the Wall Camps as well as camps in formation. Their mission is to extend the Hole in the Wall Camp experience to as many children with serious and life-threatening medical conditions as possible.
Following the success of five Hole in the Wall Camps, the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps was established in 2001 to help ensure that the camps were sustainable, as well as to foster the development of additional camps. Today, the Association unites the world’s largest family of camps, which are joined by their commitment to improve the quality of life for children with serious illnesses.
As a leader in providing camp experiences to children who are ill, all of their camps adhere to a set of standards created by the Association, over and above state and government accreditation requirements. Their camps and programs are universally accessible facilities that provide child-centered, inclusive activities and high-quality medical care. The Association also supports the ongoing needs of our member camps, camps in development and global programs, providing them with services that will expand and enhance their activities. The Association works hard to protect the integrity of the Hole in the Wall Camp brand and promote awareness around it.
Hole in the Wall Camps are the living legacy of founder, Paul Newman. For more information please visit www.holeinthewallcamps.org.
