THE AMBROSE CELEBRATES THE RELEASE OF THE FILM “THE 11th HOUR” WITH DEBUT OF BIODIESEL POWERED GUEST TAXI

Santa Monica, CA August 31, 2007- The Ambrose proudly announces the conversion of its London Taxi, the eco-boutique hotel’s trademark guest shuttle, to biodiesel fuel in conjunction with the nationwide release of Leonardo DiCaprio’s new film, “The 11th Hour”.

DiCaprio’s documentary highlights current global environmental crises, and calls on restorative human action to preserve the earth’s eco-systems for future generations. The Ambrose, led by Founder and President Deirdre Wallace, who has both a professional and personal commitment to protect the environment, was delighted to contribute to DiCaprio’s project by providing a filming location for a number of expert interviews featured in “The 11th Hour”. In further support of the film, and as a new addition to the hotel’s extensive list of sustainable practices, The Ambrose recently unveiled the hospitality industry’s first biodiesel powered guest taxi. The London Taxi has been toting guests to local Santa Monica attractions since the hotel opened in 2003, and now, powered by a cleaner burning alternative fuel produced from renewable resources, guests will ride in an eco-friendly fashion.

The Ambrose is Santa Monica’s only award-winning green hotel. Guests of The Ambrose experience an inspirational lifestyle that blends sustainable living, stylish design, cultural appreciation and attentive service.
