Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival 2018
Visit Santa Monica to take part in the historic Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race and Ocean Festival this June. The annual event traces its roots back to the 1930s, when the famous pier held some of the world’s first paddleboard races. Top athletes from across the country venture to California year after year to complete in the day’s multiple courses, which begin and end at the south side of the Santa Monica Pier. The friendly competitions celebrate Southern California’s long heritage of beach culture, and spectators can spend the day watching the races and enjoying the parallel Ocean Festival. Expect lots of live music, dancing, food and drinks on the pier and beach.
Winners of the various board and swim races are in the running for cash prizes valued in the tens of thousands of dollars, so don’t miss your chance to compete! Stay with The Ambrose this June, and learn more about the Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival here.
