L.A. throws one of the biggest Pride festivals in the United States, with a week full of activities at West Hollywood Park, and nearly half a million participants. If you’ll be in town in June, consider celebrating Pride with us, thanks to our Glisten Pride Package! With this special offer, we’ll donate 10% of the room rate to GLSEN on your behalf. GLSEN (pronounced “glisten”) is the leading education organization creating safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ youth. And as a bonus, guests will receive two complimentary drinks, breakfast, and parking during their stay.
This year, key events include a #ResistMarch, LGBT day at Dodger Stadium, Pride is Universal, and a concert series featuring Brandy, Chromeo and Aaron Carter.
#ResistMarch – 6/11 – 8AM-1PM
Slated to take place at the same time as Washington D.C.’s National Equality March for Unity and Pride, the #ResistMarch aims to move away from celebrating victories of the past, in favor of marching to ensure a more just future for those in the LGBTQ+ community. Organizers hope the march will spur continued action and engagement within the LGBTQ+ community, and among allies.
LGBT Day at Dodger Stadium – 6/9
This year, the L.A. Dodgers will throw the city’s official Pride kick-off party on June 9th. Offering an event package that includes a ticket, and an exclusive LGBT Night T-Shirt. Award winning actor Matt Bomer will be throwing out the first pitch, and the National Anthem will be performed by Dot Marie Jones, and the Gay Men’s Chorus and Trans Orchestra of L.A.
Pride is Universal – 6/9
Universal Studios Hollywood will be holding its “Pride is Universal” event on June 9th. A ticket to this event costs $95, and gets you all-day access to the theme park, plus an exclusive after-hours party that features rides, attractions, DJs, dance venues, and cash bars.
L.A. Pride Festival – 6/10 and 6/11
So far, Brandy, Chromeo, Young M.A., Erika Jayne, Aaron Carter, Brooke Candy, ILOVEMAKONNEN, Spencer Ludwig, Tish Hyman, Leon Else, Connell Cruise, Kat Dahlia and Jesse Montana are all slated to grace the West Hollywood Park Stage. Tickets are $25 for one day, $35 for both.
